7 years work experience in architecture and construction
2014 Licensed Architect in the State of Arizona
2016 Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois
Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. The proximity to the desert and access to the outdoors greatly influenced my life and continues to effect my work and my interests.
I completed my undergraduate architecture career at Arizona State University's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, where I developed a strong techtonic and research based design process
After graduating at the top of my class in 2007 I began work with the design/build firm The Construction Zone in Phoenix, Arizona. Working at The Construction Zone as a construction superintendent allowed me to gain experience in the design, management, and construction of multiple custom modern homes.
In 2010 I moved to Chicago to pursue my Masters Of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture. The move to Chicago allowed me to explore more urban design issues and gain a new design perspective. I graduated in 2012 with an MARCH and the AIA Henry Adams Certificate.
In Fall of 2012 I returned to Arizona and joined Starkjames LLC as an architectural superintendent. At StarkJames I have been responsible for constructing single family and multifamily projects designed in house and by other Phoenix are architects, I have been involved in numerous commercial projects, and have helped steer a successful RFP proposal for the City of Phoenix. While at Starkjames I also completed my architectural training and testing and became a registered architect in the state of Arizona in 2014.
